How to grow Persian Buttercups: Sow Ranunculus Seeds in Winter In India. Ranunculus grows best in sandy soil. Ranunculus germinates after 30 days when sown from the seeds. The flowering starts after 4 months. The key to growing Ranunculus from flower seed is growing them in cool tempratures. Ranunculus needs to germinate in less then 20°C. Sprinkle ranunculus seeds generously with a distance of 10cm between the lines and 0.5 to 1 cm deep in the soil.
Ranunculus needs to be irrigated 3-4 times a day with sprinklers. It also depends on the weather. The weeds need to be controlled manually or by herbisides in order to make the best flowers and bulbs. Check if there is need for fungiisides and insectisides and spray them regularly. Fertilize weekly with a water soluble fertilizer applied with sprinklers
Flowering usually starts from 4 months of sowing. The field will fill with flowers, making leaves partially visible from the top. The flowers look like buttercups. For bulb production, the tops of the flowers need to be cut for high quality bulbs. For cutflowers, the flower stalk needs to be cut 2-3 inches from the bottom

Harvesting
After the plants are all dried up, irrigate the field one last time with flood irrigation so that the roots soak up the water and swell. Manually uproot the roots and you will see the swolen roots. This is the bulb of the plant
